At least you can’t catch the plague-flu from that toddler, unlike every infant I’ve ever sat next to on a plane.

I swear airlines have a rule that children can’t fly unless 1) they have an extremely contagious infection, and 2) they have the seat next to me.

At this point, I get on a plane, the child next to me starts hacking up a lung, and I don’t even fight it. I just take the knowledge that I’m going to spend the next three weeks on my deathbed and use to to justify putting my seat all the way back.
